Canada BC Secondary School 2+1 cooperation project

I. Project introduction

We have partnered with SD47 to help establish an innovative international program for public high schools in BC, Canada, so that ELL students around the world can gain a high-quality educational experience.

II. Project background

Ubo School will provide SD47 with a professional and complete learning program, introduce real-time, interactive online teaching to classrooms around the world, increase the accessibility of public secondary education for Canadian English learners, provide offline planning services for students, obtain a BC public high school diploma for ELL students, and help them apply to elite schools.

III. Project overview 

1. Project Objective ① To promote authentic and interactive Canadian public school learning experiences to students around the world through live and online teaching methods. Create innovative blended learning programs through global partnerships to make Canadian public international education more accessible to ELL students. Provide cultural and linguistic immersion for students in Canadian school districts. Develop ELL students' potential in various areas of soft skill development.

3 years 2+1 program: ① The first two years of study are completed in the student's country. He also takes Canadian credit courses in grades G10-11. In grade G12, students transfer to SD47 for one year and receive a British Columbia Public High School diploma.

3. Course schedule G10: Canadian courses: English ELL, English 10, CLE10 Native courses: Chinese, History, Physical Education, art/Music, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc. G11: Canadian courses: English, English ELL, Physics, Chemistry, Pre-Calculus 11 Native courses: Language, History, Physical Education, Art/Music G12 (transfer to SD47, Canada, and obtain a high school diploma) September - January: Sociology 10; English + Ethnic minorities 12; History 12; Physics or Chemistry 12 February - June: CLC; Economics 12; Accounting 12 SD47 Graduation Ceremony + Immersive Summer Camp.

Content Support What can we offer? 

1. G10-12 credit courses synchronized with Canada, and help students get a high school diploma through online teaching. 2. Online teaching team to supervise students' learning process. The team consists of: ● Course instructors - responsible for course design and evaluation. English and Chinese classroom assistants - help students participate in live, interactive online courses rooted in Canadian classroom pedagogy. Academic Advisor - Regularly monitors students' overall academic progress and provides advice on learning methods. 3, the students' academic guidance counselor, to provide support for them in admissions counseling, extracurricular activities and study projects. 4. Provide pre-admission English level assessment and English preparation courses for students. 5. Provide bridging courses and admission experience before G12 is transferred to SD47.
